Welcome to The Pieces Post!

Helping Developers Stay in Flow

Hey Devs,

Welcome to the inaugural issue of The Pieces Post! Our goal with this newsletter is to keep our community informed about all things Pieces.

As a fast-growing startup, we’re constantly shipping new updates to our desktop app and integrations. We’ll use this newsletter to keep you informed on new releases, provide tips & tricks, and share industry insights to give you a productive break from coding.

More importantly, we’ll be sharing your stories. We want to highlight the amazing projects that you’re using Pieces to help you build (especially if you’re developing with our Open Source SDKs!)

Thank you for being a part of this powerful and growing community. We couldn’t do it without you.

TL;DR: What's New This Month?

  • Gemini, GPT-4 Turbo, Mistral, and Phi-2 Support: Try the latest LLMs within Pieces! Whether you need larger context windows with Google’s Gemini, faster results with GPT-4 Turbo, or offline access with the Mistral and Phi-2 small language models, we’re providing you with more AI options to write better code.

  • Updated Onboarding: Get up and running faster with our new desktop app onboarding, focused on helping new users customize their copilot and auto-enrichment experience. Re-launch onboarding in the app to try it out! We have also launched updated onboarding for our VS Code extension.

  • Community-Driven Support: Check out the launch of our new GitHub-based support process, empowering you to directly contribute issues, feature requests, and engage with the Pieces community for solutions and ideas.

  • Twitter Spaces: We’re hosting our first Twitter Space on Wednesday, Mar 6 @9:30am EST. Set a reminder to stop by, we’ll have Chris DeMars from Digital Ocean as a special guest!

Power Tips + Tutorials

Our users have been asking for more tutorials and guides on how to use Pieces in the best way possible. So we spent a lot of time last month building up a new YouTube playlist for our desktop app. Check it out!
